 Meditation 1: Basic Knowledge of Meditation



Course Title:                            MD101 Meditation 1: Basic Knowledge of Meditation

Prerequisite:                            None

Course Description: Basic knowledge concerning the importance, meaning, categories and levels of meditation, scientific evidence concerning meditation, the benefits of meditation, the nature of the mind and the bases of mind and including introductory principles of Dhammakaya Meditation.

                                                  

Course Objectives:                  

As a result of following this course, students can expect to gain:

1.     a correct comprehension of the basics of meditation

2.     awareness of the importance of meditation in daily life.

3.     the ability to practice meditation continuously on a daily basis.

4.     inspiration to practice meditation.


Course Materials:                    

1.“Meditation 1: Basic Knowledge of Meditation” Textbook.

2.  VDO for Workbook.

3.  VDO for Take Meditation (Please open VDO at least 90% for daily meditation practice homework).

4.  Final Examination.                 


Minimum Pass Requires:      

1.  Completion of all pre- and post-study quizzes and supplementary activities found in the workbook.

2.  Evidence of daily meditation practice homework.

3.  Completion of the final exam.


Note

Students must submit online Final Exam Answer, Listen VDO and Take Meditation every day. Submit exam before the end of semester deadline indicated in the Academic Calendar enclosed.
